Our Story

By choosing our rugs, you support the rich traditions of Indian craftsmanship and contribute to a greener planet.
Join us in celebrating the artistry, heritage, and sustainable practices that define our collections.
Our Roots
Prāna Collective takes its name from the Sanskrit word 'Prāna', meaning life force. Each rug carries with it the life force of the artisan who has handcrafted it, transferring their positive energy and good vibes to your home. Our artisans infuse every piece with their dedication, skill, and cultural heritage, making each rug not just a product, but a vibrant testament to centuries-old craftsmanship. This connection between creator and owner breathes new life into your living spaces, fostering a sense of warmth and well-being.
Our Mission: Commitment to Ethical Craftsmanship and Sustainability
- Use of Organic Fabrics: We are dedicated to using organic fabrics wherever possible, ensuring that our products are not only beautiful but also environmentally responsible.
- Preserving Heritage Craft: We are committed to preserving traditional weaving techniques and supporting the artisans who keep these crafts alive.
- Ensuring Ethical Manufacturing Processes: Our commitment to ethical manufacturing means that every step of our production process upholds the highest standards of integrity and responsibility.
- Contributing to Rural Development: By sourcing our rugs from rural communities in India, we help support local economies and contribute to the development of these areas.
Meet The Founders
Meet Deeksha and Anuj, the dynamic couplepreneur behind Prāna Collective. Moving from Mumbai to Sydney in 2017, they brought with them a deep connection to Indian heritage and a shared passion for craftsmanship and sustainability. These values inspired them to launch Prāna Collective in 2024.
Deeksha, with a background in architecture and urban planning, excels at curating collections that blend India's cultural heritage with the modern needs of Australian homes. Anuj complements her creative vision with strategic thinking and business acumen. Together, they've crafted a brand that not only prioritises aesthetics but also champions sustainability and ethical practices.
